Jaap Noordmans
Jaap was a senior consultant at a renowned consulting firm in the medical device industry. He combines strong experience in design control for multi- disciplinary design teams, compliance and regulations with a pragmatic, result driven approach at various levels: strategic, management, operational and execution. From his degree in mechanical engineering, working in the industry with software and electronics and his experience in scientific research, he can deal with a broad range of devices in the active device area.
Background: Jaap was senior consultant in the medical device industry working on a variety of active device project, including software. Prior to this position, Jaap was manager Research and Development for more than 10 years at a manufacturer of medical devices. He was responsible for the development of active medical devices. Dealing with design control of the multi-disciplinary (embedded) software, electrical and mechanical engineering) design team and regulatory affairs. Prior to this position Jaap was a project manager embedded software engineer at a company developing embedded industrial electronics. He started his career at a university research center, focusing on biomaterial-tissue interactions, working on the development of a broad range of research equipment, e.g. ellipsometry, digital imaging and drop shape analysis.
Mission
The mission of NRC is to deliver regulatory affairs consulting services, to support medical device manufacturers in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance for their devices.
